Moondance Magic View Bungalow is a simple two-star property of bungalows built into the rocks and greenery high on the cliffs between Aow Leuk and Tanote Bay, on the east coast of Koh Tao. The bungalows face east over the open sea, so the sunrise is part of every morning here.
It suits couples and independent travellers who would rather have peace, nature and the sea than nightlife. There are two bungalow types, each for up to two guests, with air conditioning, a fan, a private semi-open bathroom with shower, a terrace or veranda with sea and mountain views, a fridge and an electric kettle. Everything is reached by stairs, with nature and its animals all around.
On site there is a bar, a garden with a picnic area, free Wi-Fi in public areas and free private parking. Steps and a platform on the rocks lead into the water for snorkelling. Perched on the cliff between Aow Leuk and Tanote Bay, the bungalows face east across the open Gulf of Thailand. Mornings start with the sun rising straight out of the sea, best watched from the veranda or the hammock. The sea view is what guests praise most, and with a balcony and terrace on every bungalow it is never far away.
There is no sandy beach here, but the sea is right below. A path and steps lead down from the clifftop to a large platform on the rocks, where concrete steps enter the water. From there you can swim around small groups of boulders close to the shore, and the snorkelling bays of Aow Leuk and Tanote are only a short ride away.

Facilities are simple and the experience is rustic, but the setting is unusual and very quiet, well away from the bars and crowds of Sairee on the west coast.
